Sitting Waiting Wishing

HOPING the snow will go away. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the snow a but I LOVE THE SUN. It makes me look great ha ha. I am doing the peace sign not anything else in this picture. This picture is over at the Weeks house. We went sledding it was fun. Joel didn't sled and thankfully no more broken collar bones.

 So time to catch up I really haven't written much the last week or so. So here it goes. Sometimes it just feels good to write things and get them out there. Let people know whats going on in your head. 

 Well first of all I thought I was losing my job but thankfully I talked to my boss and i will be ok for a job but they are going to cut back on my hours a lot which kinda stinks but thanks to the economy it's what needs to happen. The good thing is I talked to Nita Weeks (Joels mom) at the last meeting and I asked if they were hiring at her dental office and she said actually yes they were and she would get me an application and they train you right there to be a Dental assistant. So I am super excited about that. 

 The other thing that I possibly have going on is I could be working with Rob Kammeyer puttin up drywall in a resort (ha ha a resort in Oroville). So thats the other cool that I have going on.

 The best thing is though that I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying and discussing with people and I came to a decision... I am getting rid of all my violent video games. I needed to do this. It is all part of my personal, Mental, and Physical cleansing in my life. 

  I am also hoping that by the first of the year... or soon after I get my car fixed, I plan to start attending the Spanish kingdom hall which would be really awesome. I already downloaded The Moses drama in spanish to try to learn. I am not doing that bad. Some of the stuff from 9th grade is coming back as I try to re-enter myself into that way of thinking like what happened to me when I went to Belize. 

  Other then that Nothing really has happened. It's snowing like every other day. It's getting nuts. But I dont mind it. I don't really like driving to work every day in the snow. I can't wait till I get my car fixed when I get my tax return. That's my plan anyway. Well Until Next time.

My Name is Jonas

I changed my mind i am going to do a song title for every post! Today i listened to Weezer every chance i got. I had another day at work. I have tomorrow off i am excited. well two things happened today. First I was invited by this girl at work to a party on new years eve in Canada. I am not going of corse but i guess it means i am liked enough : ) not that it it matters at all. like at all but it made me feel kinda good lol. The second thing that happened was when i was getting ready to leave work Joel called me and invited me to a steak dinner which was awesome. It was soo good. the steak was prepared to medium rare. with sautéed onions and mushrooms on top A side salad and baked potato on the side. MMM perfect dinner. Well it would have been better if it would have been grilled on the bbq over the coals it would have been absofreakinlutly amazing But it was absolutly awesome. well thats really it. Oh and i am really liking work i fit in really well i hope i can stay after the holidays... heres to hoping. So until next time

Can You Feel A Brand new Day!

decided just now as i was getting ready to blog that every time i blog... well almost every time i was going to use a song title from a movie. Lost Poems

AHHH I upgraded my phone the other day and LOST ALL THE POEMS I WROTE! AHHH. and i cant get them back I'm sooooo ticked. it's not like i can get them back either because it was at those moments i was inspired. So i will just have to wait and be inspired again. but they were great if i do say so myself and a few others read them too and liked them. i was even writing a song that was in the works but still a song none the less. i need to start keeping them in a note book. but i usually write right when i wake up from something in a dream or right before i go to bed. Losing something like that is a huge blow to the mind because there were other people who i wanted to see those things. Well i guess thats enough ranting for one night. Until next time

Snow Driving

Well Day before yesterday i had my first experience... driving in the snow! It was not as bad as i thought. Ok well first time is an exaggeration. I have driven in the snow but not like the snow here. The snow here is extremely dry and sticks right away. Which makes it very slick and when it packs... it's ice! I do have to drive in it again tomorrow while i work from 9-6 with a half hour lunch. And tomorrow at lunch i have to grab Dakota's bus ticket from Omak to Wenatchee. I am jealous i want to go really bad. If i don't make it soon i will make it in February for the Shomler's renascence dance. Well thats it for now. until next time

Stuck Inside

Well I was at work yesterday, and when i left... i left my snow boots. So i am stuck inside today wearing my glasses doing some laundry and watching tv. It's freezing cold outside. I will say one thing i am very thankful for my mom and hugh to be letting me use the truck but i don't like driving in the snow. I did ok. i drove really slow because i didn't want to slip and sliding around. So i had my first snow driving experience and it wasn't bad. i will get more used to it as time goes on. well until next time

Missed again

Ugh Stupid me was not prepared. I didn't get to work again because i was not prepared for the snow... this weekend. Next weekend should be ok. Nothing new has really happened between yesterday and today. I had dinner at the Sanchez's house. We had Portuguese Linguisa. It's a type of sausage. It was really good. Sharon also made tortillas and chili. It was very filling then we had this dessert called Dump. it was yellow cake with all kinds of fruit. it was great. Well im going to bed. Until next time

Morning SNOW!

I'd like to introduce you to Peter... He's the failed snowman. See the thing is the snow is really dry so it doesn't like to stick together so jesse and me piled up packed snow and shaped it to where it kinda looks like a snowman. I also have two pictures here of me trying to MULTI-TASK . I'm trying to catch snow in my mouth and take a picture at the same time. I love snow i really do, especially now since i have proper snow clothes. The other picture is the snow on top of one of our tables outside it is really thick. I like it. Its really easy to walk in but its hard to have a snowball fight or make a snowman. I could test out my new ski's in this snow but once i hit pavement i ruin them so i dont want to do that. Well im sure i will write again tonight so until next time

SNOW!!

So I was out in service today and we went up this long road called Night hawk. To make a call and as we were getting to this calls house it started snowing and by the time we got back to the hall the roads were already dangerous. Brother Sanchez is a good driver though so we were safe. But by the time we left the hall there was already about an inch of snow. There is about 5 or 6 inches now and we are expected to get 15+ inches this week and it's supposed to be sub freezing temperatures all week. Well first winter I will be ready. I still really want to go visit everyone and go swing dancing and maybe do a movie night if i can.

LONG CATCH UP!!

Ok so i have been meaning to get new pictures up but unfortunately. I was on a short trip to Canada with my mom and hugh and my bros and sister and we went to get donuts. As we were leaving i was going to take a picture of the shop and i dropped my camera and it BROKE AHHHH! i was soo disappointed because i take a ton of pictures. Anyway thats why i don't put up alot of pics right now. This is me before i left. my dad had this picture on his facebook so i snatched it :-) so other then that life has been going pretty ok. i am adjusting still and snow is supposed to hit hard tomorrow and the average high this week is supposed to be around 9 degrees so im preparing for winter. well until next time

P.S. Your right not that long of a catch up so here it goes. I had a long day at work today. from 9-5 i know a regular work day and i can't complain to some but it is a big change from what I was doing for the first month i was here.  I don't know i really can't think of month. Oh i did get a good call out in service. Dakota actually had the call and was leaving when i mentioned i liked his hat which said belize. I said i was there for three week and he said he hadn't but his son had been there. After that i got all kinds of stories from him. I found out the history of Oroville (an old mining town) and how long he was there and ALL kinds of stuff. I have not been able to get back up to him again yet. This area is in the middle of NOWHERE. but it lets me have an inner calm. nothing i have ever had before. My other computer wont work i am trying to update my phone. so i am probably going to my parents house tomorrow. and i have service tomorrow finally. i am excited. I haven't been out in like 2 weeks. i need to get out. ok so i cant really think of anything else so no seriously until next time

Late Night Sleep Depravation

Well I'm surprised I spelled that right without using spell check ha ha. Well It has been awhile since i actually blogged. so here it goes. My job at JCPenny is going really well. They all love me and i like it a lot. It is kinda strange being the only guy that works there, but it lets me do the projects that take a long time a.k.a. HEAVY LIFTING. It is different going from sitting down all day to being on ur feet all day. but i love it, its a great change. I already feel better from day to day. the other day i walked around for 8 hours with like 45 minutes of sitting. that was lunch and figuring out what to do after work. I have been getting a ride from this guy named Ryan. He works at Les Schwab on the other side of town so i waled there since i had nothing else to do. I got to chat with my brother Levi the whole time which was nice. We just played mario cart wii  Wi-Fi which was fun. Anyway. other then that life is going ok. It's starting to come together here for me in Tonasket. The hall here is great. The big news this week is that Joel gets to go back to work yay! We have played video games together while we have both been off. lol kinda lame huh, but its all come to an end just in time for winter. I am hoping to get a dog if this job becomes full time. It's going to be 99% wolf they look really cool and i know how i am going to get it too. So the pictures above was like my last weekend on the coast my cousin Sarah from texas took a bunch of pictures of the family. I will put up more later when i get them. I really miss everyone. I miss going to swing, i miss my hall, but the positive out weighs the negative here. Tonasket has really got my creative juices flowing. I have written a few poems. only a few people have seen them. I cant let everyone see them lol. All the feedback has been good though. In other news. the growing out of my hair is going well as i told some i would. i like it. It is really curly. it looks funny if i just let it dry.  Usually i blow dry it if i am not going to be geling it because it makes it straighter its to the point where i can "emo" flip it even if just very slightly. My mom came and saw my house. and just so u all know and i'm not just saying this she said it smelled good. lol. just a little side note. well I am starting to finally get tired. New Job

I WORK AT JCPENNY AND I LOVE IT!!

A Means To Warmpth

This is my wood stove. Tonight it was freezing so I used my last little bit of wood that I actually had. And in 15 minutes everything is warm. I had to put a blanket up between my the bottom of the stairs and my area to hold in the heat. Its really warm now but to keep it that way i will have to go get some more wood tomorrow. I spent all day applying at jobs. I had to take this typing test for a job as a dispatcher at the sheriffs office but i could not  type fast enough so that job didn't work out. I do have one day of work on black friday at JCPenny's so that will pull in a little cash. Thats what i have been up to. I will continue to keep you posted

So this is a view from Canada into the US. I never left the US but my head did. i leaned over to take this picture. I'll tell you what there isnt a 12 foot fence there. i could have gone into Canada but i didnt want to get chased down. ha ha. Lets just say getting into Canada would be easier then trying to cross into Mexico. i'll have to take a picture and show you all. anyway ill write later

Catch of the day!!!

Today i went out in service (ministry) again with my mom, aunt gina, and kelly. we were in the territory right next to the border... in fact my head was over the border today ha ha. you should have seen in a barbed wire fence that was about a foot and a half high. i could go into canada sooooo easily but i didn't in broad daylight lol. so we were in the territory and we went down a "driveway" and we got to the end and nothing was there so we went to turn around, and wouldn't you know it mud. we tried about 3 times to turn when my mom laughs and say look its the bumper cover. we all started cracking up because as you see in this picture here it was not attached anymore. so once we got turned around we got out and put the cover in the back of the van. as we got back in aunt gina, kelly and myself were in the van and... my mom had locked herself out of the van so we all started cracking up and aunt gina could barely unlock the door she was laughing so hard. That was todays adventure. i will blog later

WE MADE IT!!

So i finally got internet in my house i have some pictures to upload. So this first picture was my first morning in my place and the furnace wasn't working so we turned the stave on high and me my dad and nana huddled around it to warm up. Ganny stayed in her room because she has the only forced air heater in the house. WHAT IS THIS PLACE???

So yesterday morning I woke up showered, got all ready for meeting, went to the hall and low and behold the power was out. Being that the hall is even further nowhere then Tonasket was, it was going to be a while before any city official could get out and fix it. Plus it was a Sunday and freezing cold so it was an interesting morning. Meeting was unfortunately canceled. So that was the excitement for yesterday. Today was more productive then yesterday. I woke up and showered again and Aunt Gina had stopped by for a visit. We realized that Ganny and I needed a mail box. So I went to my parents house cut a 4x4 dug a hole mixed cement and put it all up. That was a majority of my day. I also applied for a couple places I'll let ya'll know when and if i get hired. I'll ttyl.

For those of us who have never lived on "the other side" of the mountains the word coastie or coastee as i spelled it means anyone on this side of the mountains. They use this for anything that is not made in this state or is not 89 cents each (BUSCH BEER lol). Like Corona is coastie beer or if you do something that we do on the coast "I really want Starbucks i will walk and find 2 right?" they would respond "You're such a coastie the nearest one is half an hour away ha ha" It is going to be such an experience lol. Also i would like to credit my pictures to my person paparazzi for the night Michael and Zack Schomler. They were great and had the photos accessible the very next day. Anyway i hope you all enjoyed my explanation
